Fresh hummus for everyone!
Simple and effective is what I call this. Hummus is definitely the best middle eastern food I’ve come to know of (of course there are others too). I can keep eating hummus all day like I’m eating peanut butter from a jar. It’s so healthy, great for fitness enthusiasts, and generally a yummy goodness.
I love it. I’ve made a fresh batch for myself today. I’m a minimalist when it comes to ingredients so this one has chickpeas, sesame seeds (for homemade tahini), some pine nuts (I’ve embraced this by living in dubai for over 7 years now) and little bit of chilli powder for my zing, of course salt. It’s so yummy.
My Method:
- Soaked the chickpeas overnight
- Boiled them a bit
- Then add it to the blender with a proportion of 5:1 spoon of chickpea and tahini
- Blended it all together with little salt to taste.
- Then add the pine nuts and chilli.
Voila! If you make it my way, do let me know how it tastes.
Have it as a snack with veggies or spread it on bread or just dig in.
